Managing Files and more about XP....

Online File Backups...
Everbody wish to take a backup of the data on which they work in a daily basis . But this needs to be done in a daily basis so as to prevent the data from being missed or erased during a Hardisk or system crash . But many persons skip this due to the time consumed in doing this activity regularly and few them feel lazy when they think of doing this . Here we are going to discuss about few websites which offers us to take an automatic backup of data when our system is online.

Dropboks:
- This is one of the easisest tools which helps us to take backup of data when we are online.
- We can store a maximum of 1 GB of data.
- But each file can be a maximum of only 50 MB each.
- All file formats are acceptable ( eg., .doc , .jpeg, .mpeg etc.,)
- This is easy to use as we can create separate folders in it and store data accordingly

In order to take an automatic backup daily without us being uploading data manually into dropboks , we need to register in this for Rs.350/ month . Once we are done with the
registration , automatic file backup will be taken when we come online.
And one more option , the storage capacity is increased to 50 GB when we become a registered member.

Just logon now at http://www.dropboks.com and enjoy the advantage now.

Carbonite:
- Another website which we can use to take file backups.
- But this service is not free of cost.
- Need to pay Rs.2500/- as registration fees for taking automatic backup of files.
- Just connect into WWW and Carbonite will take care of rest of taking backup of all your files automatically.
- Right click on a file , and it has an option of backup . Select the option and you are done. The file is saved in Carbonite.
You may visit http://www.carbonite.com for more information.

Diino:
- Diino is another website which offers this service entirely free of cost.
- In this we can create a site (for eg., http://yourusername.diinoweb.com) of our own to store all our files .
- We can also share the website with other with whom we wish to share the data , by offering
an username and password for the same.
For more details and usage please visit http://www.diino.com

SAVE WINDOWS XP:
Windows VISTA did not reach the expecation of many people as it operates only on high speed processors . But Windows XP is still user friendly and being used in many of the personal computers . People get accustomed to XP , such that even when they get a new PC , they uninstall Vista and install Win XP with which they are much convenient.

Now WINDOWS 7 is to be released sooon....

Microsoft has recently announced that they will be removing the licence for Win XP soon. We need to take preventive measures to save XP until then.
Also they have announced that no more files or driver programs for Win XP will be available within 1 or 2 years.

Hence we need to take preventive measures and steps to enhance our XP from being infected
with Viruses by updating all driver files and system programs.

Here we go , we can download all the latest versions of driver files for Win XP from the site
http://www.driverpacks.net/driverpacks.

This is an one stop shop where we can get all updated driver files for Chipsets , C.P.U , Graphics Card, LAN card , Mass Storage devices and many more. We can download all of the files and store
them in our hard drives in a particular folder. The total file capacity would be around 336 MB .

The files would be in 7zip format . In order to extract files from this format just visit http://www.7zip.org and download the software provided in the site.

to be continued..............
